IMMIGRATION INTERVIEW PREPARATION

Walk into your USCIS interview prepared, consistent, and confident.

For many applicants, the interview is the moment a case is decided. An officer compares what you say with what you filed, looks for gaps and inconsistencies, and decides whether the record holds together.

USCIS has made the process more demanding. More family-based and employment-based applicants are now called for in-person interviews, officers may deny an incomplete case without first asking for more evidence, and asylum applicants must now show exceptional circumstances to reschedule and submit their evidence at least 14 days before the interview.

At LexElite Law, PLLC, our Principal Attorney prepares you for the interview you actually face. We review your file before the session, identify the questions most likely to come up, and work through any issue that could raise concern. Sessions are available in English or Farsi, online or in person at our Virginia office in Tysons.

Why prepare with an attorney

  • Your file, reviewed first. We read what you filed before the session, so preparation targets your record, not a generic question list.

  • Legal risk, identified early. Status gaps, prior entries, military or security-related service, criminal history, and inconsistencies are flagged and addressed with legal advice that a coaching service cannot give.

  • Truthful, consistent testimony. We prepare you to explain your own facts clearly. We never script answers or suggest what to say.

  • English or Farsi. Prepare in the language you think in, and know what to expect if you will use an interpreter.

  • Clear next steps. You leave the session knowing what to bring, what to raise or correct, and what to expect.

How it works

  1. Book and pay. Choose your service and a time, and pay online.

  2. Submit your interview notice. Upload your interview notice when you book.

  3. Upload your documents. We will send you a secure link to upload your documents for review before your appointment.

  4. File review. Our Principal Attorney reviews your record before the session.

  5. Preparation session. We walk through the interview, practice the hardest questions, and address any concerns.

  6. Next steps. Before the session ends, we confirm what to bring and what, if anything, to correct before the interview.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be your client already?

No. Many people come to us after filing on their own or with another representative. Each session is a limited-scope engagement for interview preparation only.

Will you tell me what to say?

No. We help you understand the process, recall your own facts accurately, and present them clearly and consistently. Providing false information to USCIS can have permanent consequences, and we never assist with it.

Can an attorney attend the interview with me?

In many cases, yes. Attorney attendance is available as a separate service, depending on the office location and the attorney's availability.

How soon before my interview should I book?

As soon as you receive your interview notice. Two to three weeks before the interview is ideal; earlier is better if documents may be needed.

Are sessions available in Farsi?

Yes. All preparation sessions are available in English or Farsi.

I’m anxious and don’t know what to expect. Is this session for me?

Yes. Many of our clients have straightforward cases and simply want to know what will happen, what to bring, and how to explain their history clearly. Preparing in advance is the best way to walk in calm and ready.

Is what I share with you confidential?

Yes. Information you share with us is protected by attorney-client confidentiality.

Your interview date is set. Your preparation should be too.

Book your session and upload your interview notice. We will send you a secure link for your other documents and review your file before we meet.

Interview preparation is a limited-scope legal service designed to prepare you for your interview. It does not guarantee approval. The outcome depends on the facts of your case, the evidence in your file, how you present them at the interview, and the officer’s decision. We prepare you to give truthful, consistent testimony; we never script answers.
